What if...

Instead of die-cutting materials and throwing away tons of offcuts, we "grow material" into the shape of a garment's pattern?

GROW SCOBY (Symbiotic Colony Of Bacteria andYeast)

Ingredients including organic sugar, starter kombucha, organic black tea, and pre-grown SCOBY were measured in a proper ratio to create the best base environment for bacteria.
PATTERN

A one-piece shirt pattern container was built with lazer-cutting the exact shapes and walls. The same SCOBY prepping procedure was then done in the mold. (This time I used seaweed flavored kombucha, that's why this one was green.)
POST-GROWN

A closer look at the initial batch of SCOBY grown after several weeks in a dark and humid environment(AKA my bathroom)
The leather-like material was air-dried, died with indigo.
